The Vandalia Police Department has started using the Nixle service. It will provide updates about storm warnings, road closures, missing children, and other important information as needed.

You can register to have updates emailed to you or sent via text message for free. (The per text message fee from your carrier will apply, but no additonal fees are imposed).
